Paul Barrett has extensive experience in financial regulation and risk management, beginning as a Senior Policy Officer at the Financial Services Authority from 2001 to 2004, followed by a role as Assistant Director at the Association of British Insurers from 2004 until January 2011, focusing on Solvency II. Barrett later worked at AIG from May 2013 to February 2020 as the ERM Chief Operating Officer for EMEA and Head of Risk Management, before assuming the position of Chief Risk Officer at AIG UK in August 2019. Barrett holds an MA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford and a degree in Sustainable Finance from the University of Cambridge.
