Penelope Castro

Penelope Castro has extensive experience in the insurance and financial services sectors, holding key leadership positions at various reputable companies. From February 2017 to September 2019, Penelope served as Subdirector Comercial at Pan-American Life Insurance Group. Following this role, Penelope was appointed as Director Comercial Noreste and later as Director Comercial Cuentas Especiales at AFIRME Grupo Financiero from November 2019 to December 2021. Afterward, Penelope took on the role of Director B&D Monterrey at AXA México from December 2021 to April 2025, before assuming the position of Head of Distribution at AIG in April 2025. Prior to these roles, Penelope worked at HSBC as Regional Sales Manager from December 2006 to January 2011, and at BNP Paribas Cardif as Business Manager from February 2011 to January 2017, where responsibilities included new business development and commercial strategy implementation. Penelope’s career began at MAPFRE, where as Regional Sales Coordinator from December 2005 to December 2006, key duties involved managing a regional office and developing business strategies.
