Rene Wenger has extensive experience in finance and executive leadership, currently serving as the Asia Pacific CFO and Program Executive for IFRS 17 at AIG since December 2009. Key roles include General Insurance Program Executive for IFRS 17 since January 2020, CFO of AIG Korea from August 2016 to December 2019, and CFO of AIG China from May 2014 to July 2016. Prior to AIG, Rene held the position of Head of Finance at Eurohypo AG in Singapore and worked at Credit Suisse in various capacities, culminating as Director of External Reporting from July 2004 to March 2008. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Commerce from the University of the Witwatersrand and a degree in Hotel Management from Les Roches.
