Ron Mahaffey

Ron Mahaffey is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in compliance, risk management, and engineering. As the Global Head of Sanctions Compliance Processing at AIG since December 2002, Mahaffey leads a global team of 26 responsible for developing comprehensive compliance solutions in Sanctions, AML, Counter Terrorism Financing, and Anti-corruption. Prior roles at AIG include Advisory Compliance Officer for the Americas Region and Compliance Manager for Financial Controls, where Mahaffey focused on economic sanctions and SOX 404 compliance. Prior to AIG, Mahaffey managed project engineering at L'Oréal, implementing manufacturing strategies and conducting risk assessments. Academic credentials include a Master of Science, a Master of Engineering, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, all from Stevens Institute of Technology.
