Daniel Rossi is a PhD candidate at AImageLab, focusing on Gaussian Splatting and 3D reconstruction, as well as the development of highly efficient convolutional neural networks for embedded systems since October 2023. Previously, as a Computer Vision & Firmware Engineer at ProjectRED from October 2022 to September 2024, Daniel developed a robotic vision system and implemented various firmware solutions for electric motor control. In 2023, a Robotics Research Intern role at Toyota Motor Europe involved research on human pose estimation and the integration of AI in physical devices for production line alert systems. Earlier experiences include roles as an R&D Software Engineer at WATER LINE SRL, Software Engineer at MoRe Modena Racing Hybrid, and IT Technician at Unione Tresinaro Secchia. Daniel holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Artificial Intelligence, a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, all from Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia.
