Diva Chinniah

Diva Chinniah has a strong background in finance and accounting. Diva began their career at Johnston Morrison Hunter Chartered Accountants as a Staff Accountant from September 2001 to September 2002. Diva then worked as a Senior Accountant at Donnelly & Company Chartered Accountants from September 2002 to February 2005. Following that, they joined Deloitte as a Senior Manager in Assurance & Advisory, where they worked from February 2005 to September 2011.

In September 2011, Diva joined Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) as a Director of Finance and held this position until May 2019. Diva then progressed to Vice President, Finance and Controller from June 2019 to September 2022. Currently, they are serving as the Managing Director, Finance and Controller since October 2022 at AIMCo.

Additionally, Diva has served on various boards. From November 2014 to October 2016, they were a Board Member at Chartered Professional Accountants Public Sector Board. Furthermore, Diva has also served as a Steering Committee Board Member at AIMCo Foundation for Financial Education from July 2018 to June 2020.

Diva Chinniah attended the University of Alberta from 1998 to 2001, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on Accounting. In 2005, they went on to study at the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, pursuing a CA designation.
