Joel Freund

Joel Freund is an experienced professional in data analytics and process management, currently serving as Manager of Employee Data & Analytics at Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) since June 2023. Previously, Joel worked at Cenovus Energy from January 2016 to June 2023 as a Specialist in HR Analytics & Automation, where responsibilities included financial data analysis and supplier master data maintenance. Joel's earlier roles include Director at Redpoint Consulting, Tech Consultant at Accenture, and Test Analyst at Suncor Energy. Joel began a career in research as a Research Engineer at the University of Alberta, focusing on photonics and optical systems testing. Joel holds two Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Alberta, completed in 2013.
