Dan Downs

Dan Downs is an experienced professional with a strong background in emergency management and evaluations, currently serving as the Senior Director of the Internal Evaluation Program and Emergency Management at Air Methods since October 2019. In this role, Dan successfully established a fully accepted FAA Internal Evaluation Program, conducting extensive evaluations while receiving top ratings for performance. Previous positions include Operations Chief at Louis Berger, where Dan led strategic management and received the 2018 Global Value President’s Award, and Emergency Operations Planning Officer at the US Army Corps of Engineers, where Dan developed crucial emergency preparedness programs. Dan's military career includes commanding a Basic Training Company and serving in various engineering roles, leading to significant contributions in operational readiness and project management. Dan holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Missouri University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
