Mat Blodgett is an experienced aviation professional and helicopter pilot with a diverse background in both military and civilian sectors. Currently serving as an Air Methods National Pool Pilot since June 2022, Blodgett is responsible for the transportation of critical patients via helicopter air ambulance. With over 12 years of service in the US Army, Blodgett held multiple titles including UH60 Standardization Pilot and Instrument Examiner, where duties included conducting evaluations and ensuring mission readiness in complex environments. Expertise spans instructional roles, air mission planning, and operational execution across various flight conditions, including night vision, instrumental, and combat environments. Previously, Blodgett facilitated humanitarian assistance and combat support operations in various locations, including Central America and South Korea.
