Matthew Franklin serves as an Assistant Professor of Aviation and Transportation Studies at Lewis University since August 2014, teaching courses in gas turbine, reciprocating engine, helicopter maintenance, and aviation physics. Concurrently, a mechanic with Air Methods since 2009, Matthew has held various roles, including Lead Mechanic for EC-135 helicopters and technician for BK-117 helicopters. Earlier experience includes mechanic positions with L-3 Integrated Systems Group and Defense Support Services, focusing on UH-60 Blackhawk aircraft, and serving as a crew chief in the US Army from 1998 to 2004. Matthew is pursuing a Doctor of Education degree at Governors State University, following an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University and a bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance Management from Lewis University.
