Rob Purdy is an experienced air ambulance pilot currently operating with Air Methods since June 2023, utilizing the Bell 407 GX in central and southeast Arkansas. Prior to this role, Rob served as an air ambulance pilot with Memorial Hermann Health System from October 2019 to May 2023, flying the EC-145 for patient transport in southeast Texas. Additional experience includes serving as the lead helicopter pilot for American Jet International and as an air ambulance pilot at Memorial Hermann Health System from November 2016 to December 2018. Rob's distinguished career includes over 19 years of service in the US Army, where roles encompassed Command Chief Warrant Officer and AH-64D standardization pilot, among others. Rob holds a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Excelsior University and has completed extensive aviation training and qualifications, including numerous aircraft certifications and courses related to military aviation.
