Michael Gan has a diverse work experience in various industries. Michael started their career as an R&D Engineer at the Centre of Lightweight Structures TUD-TNO in 2000 and worked there until 2004. Michael then joined Lightweight Structures B.V. as a Project Manager, where they focused on product development for customers and their own product range in the automotive and transportation market. In 2006, they became the Chairman of Stichting Toonkunst Apollo, a non-profit foundation that organizes concert tours for the Philharmonic Choir Toonkunst Rotterdam. Michael worked there until 2010. From 2010, they held multiple roles at Airborne, including Team Lead Engineering, Sr. Project Manager for CFRP Solar Array panel substrate manufacturing, 4DX coach, and Project Manager.
Michael Gan graduated from Delft University of Technology in 1999 with a MSc. degree in Aerospace Engineering. Prior to that, from 1987 to 1993, they attended Baudartius College Zutphen for their high school education. Their primary education was completed at Prins Constantijnschool Goor from 1981 to 1987.
