Brian Lai

Brian Lai has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Brian is currently working as a Software Engineer at Airbyte since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Segment, where they held the positions of Staff Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. During their time at Segment, they were a technical lead within Twilio Segment's growth marketing and user segmentation product, responsible for managing data transmission to partner APIs. Before joining Segment, Brian worked at Workday, where they held the roles of Software Development Engineer - API Platform and Tools Rotational Software Engineer. In these roles, they designed and implemented tools and frameworks for internal and external application developers and worked on various components within the Workday product. Brian also gained experience as an Associate Developer Intern at Workday and as an Undergraduate CSE Tutor at UC San Diego. Brian's work experience also includes a Software Development Intern position at Websense.

Brian Lai holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from UC San Diego. Additionally, they have obtained the AWS Certified Developer – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2021.
