Matthew Stepka

Matthew Stepka is the Managing Partner of Machina Ventures, an investment firm that focuses on early-stage artificial intelligence and data science-enabled companies. They currently serve as a Lecturer at the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business and a Trustee for the Knight Foundation. Previously, Matthew held the position of Vice President of Business Operations and Strategy at Google, where they spearheaded numerous mission-driven initiatives. With a Juris Doctorate from UCLA and dual Bachelor of Science degrees from Case Western Reserve University, Matthew has also been a management consultant at McKinsey & Company and held executive roles at drugstore.com and WorldRes. They are a Board Member for Family Zone Cyber Safety and an advisor for several organizations, including Akash Systems and AirCapture.
