Ed DeCaria

Product Director at AirDev

Ed DeCaria has over 20 years of professional experience in product management, technology consulting, and research and analysis.

In 1999, they began their career as a Consultant/Senior Consultant at Alaris Consulting, where they facilitated interviews to understand employee workflows, motivations, and constraints, created SQL databases to manage client data, prepared reports, and presented relevant insights.

From 2004 to 2017, they held various positions at IRI, including Senior VP of New Products, VP of Product - Consumer Data Platform, VP of Technology Consulting, and Director of Client Insights. During this time, they formed an innovation group within the company, launched IRI’s first consumer mobile app into beta, led the discovery, design, and development of new retailer-focused category management, and mentored a team to run senior-level client data/technology engagements.

In 2015, they became Head of Product at Likelihood, where they led product and design for this B2B2C martech startup, launching a content creation platform for marketers to display beautiful, personalized, interactive creatives across their digital properties.

In 2017, they became Chief Product Officer at Nucleal, Inc., leading this exploratory joint venture between a top venture capitalist and a data-minded marketing agency and launching an AI-powered branding platform into the market with paying customers in less than five months.

In 2019, they became Product Director at AirDev and Co-Founder at StorySeer, where they co-founded a digital platform for scheduling and managing author school visits, onboarded 50+ impact authors to manage their visits on the platform, and automated countless tasks/flows to make booking and managing author visits easy for authors and educators alike.

Additionally, since 2009, they have been the Director of Research & Analysis at BaseballHQ.com, where they lead the content strategy and editorial calendar for the Research & Analysis department, and conducts original research on baseball player performance, projections, strategy/tactics, valuation, and more. Ed's work has been published online, in the popular Baseball Forecaster annual, and in USA Today's season preview magazine.

Ed DeCaria obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business. Ed also holds two certifications, a Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) from Scrum.org obtained in October 2013, and a Pragmatic Marketing Certified-Level Two (PMC-II) from Pragmatic Marketing obtained in October 2010.
