Artists in Residence in Everglades (AIRIE) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit operating in Everglades National Park (ENP) and the Greater Miami Area.   We believe artists are essential problem solvers who can reveal new narratives and solutions for social and environmental change through their artistic storytelling.

RESIDENCY 

"Executive Committee"  Riyaad (President + Co-Chair), Jonathon (Fundraiser, Co-Chair) , Alejandro Onis (Finance, Vice Chair), Tracey (Strategic Partnership, Secretary) , Valerie Ricordi (Grants, Treasurer) While the executive committee and the board of directors do share some members and responsibilities, they are entirely separate entities. The board of directors governs the organization; they create policies, make big decisions and oversee all of the organization’s operations. In order to do this, they often establish committees, one of which is the executive committee. The executive committee, then, functions as an extension of the board of directors. They are the board’s eye and ears. These members act when the entire board can’t; they make decisions in between meetings and resolve any urgent issues facing the organization.
