Airponix Ltd is a soil-free agriculture company specialising in the sustainable production of high-quality seed potatoes using advanced controlled-environment systems.

We grow crops without soil, using up to 95% less water and only a fraction of the land footprint required by conventional agriculture. Our proprietary fog-based growing technology delivers water and nutrients directly to exposed plant roots in a highly efficient, oxygen-rich environment, enabling precise uptake with minimal waste and no recirculation. This approach reduces disease risk, eliminates the need for soil, and avoids harmful chemicals, while delivering consistent, high-yield results.

Airponix has successfully grown a wide range of crops, with a strong commercial focus on generation 0 (G0) seed potato production. We have demonstrated the scalability and resilience of our system by operating seed potato facilities in extreme environments, including remote desert conditions, producing large volumes of uniform, high-quality mini-tubers with exceptionally low water use.

Potatoes are a critical global staple crop, yet access to reliable, high-quality seed is increasingly constrained by climate change, biosecurity risks, land availability, and water scarcity. Airponix addresses these challenges by enabling local, secure, and sustainable seed potato production close to where crops are ultimately grown.

Our model supports the development of scalable seed supply chains, from controlled-environment G0 production through to field multiplication, helping growers, regions, and governments improve food security while dramatically reducing environmental impact.
