David Kay

David Kay is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in hardware and FPGA design. Currently serving as Principal FPGA Design Engineer at HENSOLDT UK since March 2013, David has also held the position of Senior Principal Engineer at Airspan Networks since July 2000, where responsibilities included the design of baseband boards for Wimax/LTE/Backhaul Pico Base Stations, along with multiprocessor embedded system and FPGA design. Prior roles include Senior Director of Hardware Engineering at Airspan, Director of Hardware Engineering at DSC Communications, and Principal Engineer at BNR. David began a career in design engineering at Tadiran Communications, focusing on digital multiplexing systems. Academically, David holds a B.Sc (Hons) in Electronics from the University of Cape Town.
