Ian Banbrook

Ian Banbrook is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in hardware engineering and product design. Currently serving as Principal HW Engineer at Airspan Networks since January 2019, Ian previously held the position of Chief Technical Officer at Metrodata Limited from May 1995 to December 2018, where Ian was the chief architect for the MetroConnect product range and the design lead for FIMO fibre optic modem products. Prior to this, Ian worked as a Senior Design Engineer and Project Manager at Cray Communications and as a Senior Hardware Engineer at Dowty-Case, contributing expertise in X.25 and DCX business units. Earlier career experiences include the role of Hardware Design Engineer at Case Communications. Ian holds a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Nottingham, completed in 1987.
