Director, Software Quality Assurance at Airspan

Michael Black has extensive work experience in the field of software quality assurance and testing. Michael began their career at Assured Access Technology, Inc. where they built and managed a successful SQA team for their distributed fault tolerant Remote Access Server/Router. The company was later acquired by Alcatel, where Michael continued to work as the Director of System Test. Michael played a critical role in the integration of Assured Access Technology into Alcatel and successfully completed major releases and maintenance/patch releases.

Following their time at Assured Access Technology, Michael joined Procket Networks, Inc. as a Manager of System Test. During their tenure, the company was acquired by Cisco Systems, Inc.

Michael later joined Fabric 7 Systems, Inc. as the Manager of Software Quality Assurance. Michael built and led an international SQA team and performed certification and interoperability testing with major networking companies.

Next, Michael joined Mimosa Networks as the Director of Software Quality Assurance, where they hired and managed a team of QA engineers. Michael also worked on next-generation WiFi wireless outdoor products and cloud network management.

After their time at Mimosa Networks, Michael worked at Cinarra Systems as the Director of Quality Assurance. Michael led a team of 8 in testing their location-based platform for mobile network operators.

Most recently, Michael joined Airspan Networks as the Director of Software Quality Assurance. Michael played a crucial role in the acquisition of Mimosa Networks by Airspan. Michael was responsible for hands-on execution, test plans, bug tracking, and worked closely with all departments of the company.
