Fred L Smith

Fred L Smith is an experienced subsea construction and installation specialist with a career spanning over three decades in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Customer Vessel Representative at BP since 2004, Fred L Smith has directed offshore activities including ROV and crane operations, while promoting a safe working environment. Previous roles include consultations at Airswift and Trendsetter Engineering, as well as positions at ExxonMobil and FMC Technologies, where Fred L Smith contributed to subsea equipment testing, installation, and design engineering. Fred L Smith began a career in mechanics with hands-on experience in air compressor systems and later served in the Navy Nuclear Power program as an Engineroom Supervisor. Fred L Smith holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
