SSE Airtricity is the largest provider of wind power in Ireland†, with an operational portfolio of 28 onshore wind farms, totalling a combined generation capacity of over 700MW. The portfolio includes the 174MW Galway Wind Park, Ireland’s largest wind farm, which is co-owned with Greencoat Renewables. This makes SSE the largest generator and provider of renewable energy in the all-island Single Electricity Market.
