David Kunz

David Kunz has over 19 years of work experience. David started their career in 2001 as a System Operator at Verlag Der Tagesspiegel GmbH. In 2002, they moved to Daimler where they worked as a Software Developer in the digital user research lab. David then moved to ebuero AG in 2005 where they worked as a Software Developer, managing and guiding the implementation of all SEO initiatives across all brand sites on various international markets. In 2007, they joined SkyGate GmbH as a Software Developer. David then moved to neofonie GmbH in 2009, where they worked as a Project Manager managing and implementing customer projects. From 2013 to 2016, they worked at 1&1 Internet SE as a Head of MyWebsite Layout Development and Senior Project Manager. In 2021, they joined diconium as a Director Software Engineering and in 2022, they moved to Aiven as the Director Of Engineering, leading the data services domain including product development for Kafka, Flink, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, M3, OpenSearch and many more.

David Kunz has a diverse educational background. From 1999 to 2002, they attended Technische Universität Berlin, where they earned a degree in Informatik. From 2002 to 2007, they attended Berlin University of Applied Sciences Berlin (BHT), where they earned a Diplom Inf. (FH) in Medieninformatik. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in 2012, PMP from the Project Management Institute in 2013, Kanban Management Professional from Kanban University in 2019, WAI0.1x: Introduction to Web Accessibility from edX in 2020, Flight Levels Coach from LEANability GmbH in 2020, and Certified OKR Practitioner (C-OKRP) - Level 2 from OKR International I OKR Consulting & Training and OKR Master from die.agilen GmbH in 2021.
