Gordon Chen

Gordon CHEN is an experienced software engineer with a diverse background in support engineering, operations, and software development. Currently serving as a Senior Support Engineer at Aiven since July 2022, Gordon manages open-source data platforms, including Kafka, OpenSearch, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. Prior experience includes significant roles at IBM Canada Software Lab, where contributions spanned cloud performance and enterprise customer support for HPC and cloud-related products, as well as software development for platforms like z/OS. Earlier career experiences include positions at mnubo, Motorola Mobility, and Motorola, with roles ranging from software architect to project lead. Gordon holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and a Bachelor's degree from Harbin Institute of Technology.
