Ivan Yurchenko

Ivan Yurchenko has held numerous positions in the software engineering field since 2002. Starting as a Freelance Engineer in 2002, they then moved on to become a Software Engineer for the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (Technical University) in 2007. In 2008, they began organizing the Smolenks Linux User Group, a local Linux user group that held monthly meetups and promoted free and open source software. From 2012 to 2015, Ivan worked as a Software Engineer for Edisoft Baltic OÜ and Glopart. In 2016, they became a Lead Engineer at Zalando SE, where they participated in various projects, including customer behavior analytics. In 2018, Ivan began organizing the Helsinki Java User Group, and in 2019 they joined Aiven as a Senior Staff Software Engineer, later becoming an Engineering Manager and then a Staff Software Engineer.

Ivan Yurchenko received a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute (Technical University) between 2008 and 2011. Ivan also received a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from the same institution between 2004 and 2008. Additionally, Ivan has a First Aid Level 1 - EA 1 certification from the Finnish Red Cross - Suomen Punainen Risti.
