Jason Hepp

Jason Hepp has over 20 years of work experience. Jason began their career in 2000 as a Software Engineer at General Electric (GE) / Global Exchange Services (GXS). In 2004, they moved to Lockheed Martin in the same role. In 2005, they joined Oracle as a Software Engineer. From 2006 to 2017, they worked as a Software Engineer at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Lincoln Laboratory and held an Active DOD Top Secret SCI Clearance. In 2016, they became a Principal Analytic Platform Architect at Cimpress, where they developed an open architecture to fully integrate all Cimpress Business Analytics (BA) onto a common platform. From 2019 to 2021, they were a Principal Data Engineering Architect at Arrowstreet Capital, Limited Partnership, where they were a member of the Data Engineering team building a big data platform using on premise Cloudera stack. Jason currently works at Aiven as Senior Director of Solution Architecture, Director Solutions Architecture, Staff Solutions Architect, and Solutions Architect.

Jason Hepp obtained a BS in a double major of Math and Computer Science from Providence College between 1996 and 2000. Jason then went on to obtain an MS in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University between 2000 and 2003. In November of 2020, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Jason also obtained the Strategic Discovery using Domain-Driven Design certification from Sales Hero GmbH in September of 2021.
