Olaf Schmitz

Olaf Schmitz has been in the industry for almost 3 decades. Olaf started their career at Siemens in 1991 as a Business Development Manager for Industrial Applications. There, they were responsible for developing and implementing the technical, legal, and commercial framework for localization of MV-Motors, Generators and/or MV-Drives. This included tasks such as creating license agreements and other cooperations, such as Joint Ventures.

In 2019, Olaf left Siemens to take on the role of Chairman at Aiven. At Aiven, they are responsible for leading the company and developing strategies to ensure its success. Under Olaf's leadership, Aiven has seen significant growth and is now one of the leading companies in its field.
