Raphael Lopez

Raphael Lopez has been working in the technology industry since 2017. In that time, they have held roles at Aiven (2021-present) as a Site Reliability Engineer and Junior Site Reliability Engineer; Intellijoint Surgical Inc. (2020) as an IoT Systems Engineer; hitplay. (2019) as an Embedded Software Engineer; ecobee (2019) as an Embedded Test Developer; ZTR Control Systems (2018) as an R&D Engineering; Flipp (2017) as a Jr. Software Engineer in Test; and Sun Life Financial (2017) as an On Site Support Specialist. At ecobee, they designed and built automated testing infrastructure for embedded devices, implemented software abstraction layers, soldered surface mounts, and maintained product quality. At Flipp, they designed test plans, wrote SQL queries, created bug reports, and developed a QA tool. At Sun Life Financial, they provided excellent customer service and troubleshooting techniques related to computer and network issues, and tested customized operating systems.

Raphael Lopez attended the University of Waterloo from 2016 to 2021, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Mechatronics Engineering. In 2020, they also attended the National University of Singapore.
