Herwig Hahn

Herwig Hahn is a seasoned professional in electrical engineering with extensive experience in semiconductor technology and research. Currently serving as Manager of Cooperation Projects at AIXTRON SE since June 2019, Herwig has previously held roles as a post-doctoral researcher at IBM Research, where involvement included collaborations on advanced materials and devices, and a research associate position at RWTH Aachen University, focusing on mentoring and GaN-based devices. Additional work includes solo and tandem bicycle travel across multiple countries, underscoring a passion for exploration alongside a solid academic background, which includes a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from RWTH Aachen University. Herwig has also engaged in various EU projects and has contributed significantly to the field through research and development in optoelectronic and electronic devices.
