John Sabo

John Sabo is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in the energy sector. Currently serving as the Managing Partner at AK Industries, Inc. since September 2022, John previously held roles as a Summer Associate at Citadel, where responsibilities included capital surveying in the Industrials & Energy sectors. Prior to that, John was the Director of Finance at PCORE Exploration & Production, overseeing financial and treasury operations for this NGP Energy Capital portfolio company. John also contributed to Pioneer Natural Resources Company for nearly five years, advancing from Analyst to Budget & Planning Coordinator, managing field development planning and asset-wide budgeting for the Eagle Ford shale operations. John holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.S. in Economics with a concentration in Finance from Southern Methodist University.
