Waleed Uddin has been working in the robotics and intelligent systems field since 2017. Waleed began their career as a VR Developer (Intern) at Eyexpo Technology Corp., where they devised and programmed key VR algorithms from scratch and researched Facebook's React VR. Waleed then worked as a Mechatronic Engineer (Intern) at Etalim Inc., where they set up fan, airflow and pressure sensors, programmed I2C protocol, CRC algorithm and sensor-specific functionalities, and designed a novel Differential pressure measurement component in SolidWorks. In 2018, they joined the Collaborative Advanced Robotics and Intelligent Systems Laboratory, UBC as a Researcher (M.Eng project). Waleed is currently working as a Robotic Systems Developer at A&K Robotics.
Waleed Uddin obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering and Automation from Beihang University in 2016. Waleed also received an Excellent Study certificate from the same institution in 2015. In 2018, they completed a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Mechatronic Design from The University of British Columbia.
