Cheng Wang

As Interim CFO, Cheng leads and guides Akash’s financial operations and strategy. Previously, he served as the CFO for WRKSHP, a high growth San Francisco gaming startup and Refereum, a premier blockchain startup. Cheng spent over 8 years at premier financial institutions before founding and managing his own retail businesses in New York City. His experience includes extended tenures with Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and the Royal Bank of Scotland. Prior to his work as a successful CFO and entrepreneur, Cheng was a Vice President focusing on debt and valuations for RBS. His financial expertise includes both equity and debt valuation, derivative instruments, and portfolio management. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Macaulay Honors College at the City University of New York.
