Scott Carruthers

Scott Carruthers is the current director of technical support at Akash Network. Prior to their current position, Carruthers worked as a managing solutions architect at Systems Management/Planning, Inc. from October 2013 to October 2021. In their role at SMP, Carruthers served as a principle architect and automation developer, helping with the sales process of various technologies including devops, API integrations, and Cisco security technologies. Scott was also responsible for writing automation and integrations, primarily in Go with Kubernetes orchestration, as well as presenting extracted intel using data science tools such as Tableau. In addition to their work as an architect and developer, Carruthers also served as the practice group lead of security, where they grew SMP's cyber security focuses and revenue considerably. Scott was also the founder of the company's managed services organization and the director of the MS practice. In this role, they developed ITIL practices and procedures to ensure customer engagement success, as well as strategies for monitoring and engineer troubleshooting of technologies including collaboration/voice, security, datacenter, and devops focuses.

Scott Carruthers has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the State University of New York at Binghamton. Scott also has certification from Coursera in Python Data Structures and Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python).
