AKBAN is a martial arts organization founded in Israel in 1985. Four decades of pressure-testing everything we do.

Out of that craft grew Detant — the Itai Sheriff workshop.

The same discipline that prepares a practitioner in the dojo prepares a nurse, a teacher, or a civil servant to stay clear under conflict. One craft: functioning under pressure, treated as something to train.

Our workshops give non-practitioners a working method for the moments that matter — measured, in real time, against physiological parameters.

The framework is developed with Professor Hagai Bergman (Hebrew University, Israel Prize laureate in neurophysiology), grounding the method in how the brain behaves under threat — and how we train to do better.
