Giels Brouwer is an accomplished entrepreneur and leader with extensive experience in the technology and sports analytics sectors. As the Founder and CEO of Akela Hub since January 2024, Giels is dedicated to developing a comprehensive platform for scouting and analyzing millions of companies. Previously, Giels co-founded SciSports, growing it into a global leader in professional football analytics while securing significant funding and establishing advanced algorithms. Giels has also held pivotal roles as a Founder and CEO at BallJames, as well as serving as CTO at an impact investment firm, demonstrating a commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship. Additionally, Giels has been involved in community-focused initiatives and educational outreach, highlighting a dedication to societal improvement. Giels holds a BSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of Twente.
