Simen Eldevik

Simen Eldevik is a Data Science & Analytics Manager at Aker BP ASA since February 2023, focusing on leveraging data science, analytics, and AI to enhance decision-making through the integration of data-driven methods and physics-based knowledge. Previously, Simen held positions at DNV from November 2005 to February 2023, including Principal Research Scientist and Team Lead, where efforts were directed towards machine learning, artificial intelligence, and safety in high-risk engineering systems. Additionally, Simen's experience encompasses an Industry PhD, with a project on detecting material change using Acoustic Resonance Technology, and a background in pipeline integrity and probabilistic assessments. Simen holds a PhD in Acoustics and Material Science from the University of Bergen, an Executive Leadership Program certificate from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Science in Physics from both the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and the University of Glasgow.
