John Burke has a diverse work experience in the field of electrical design. John started their career as a Senior Electrical Designer at Worley Parsons Oil & Gas in 2005, where they worked on the Angel Brownfields project. John then joined Bechtel Oil & Gas as a Senior Electrical Designer, responsible for lighting layouts and panel schedules for the Saudi Aramco Project. John later joined Woodside as a Senior Electrical Designer, working on process units and vendor packages. John also worked at Designer Foster Wheeler Oil & Gas and Exxon Fawley Substation Replacement as a Senior Electrical Designer. In 2010, John joined MW Kellogg's Oil & Gas as a Senior Electrical Designer, where they were in charge of PDMS modeling and coordination for the Gorgon Project. John continued their career at Designer Worley Parsons Oil & Gas as a Senior Electrical Designer, working on the Rumaila Project and Jasmine North Sea Project. In recent roles, John was an Electrical Designer at Wood and Emico Ltd. Currently, John is working at Aker Solutions as a Lead Electrical Designer, overseeing HVDC wind and platform development projects, as well as managing design teams across different locations.

John Burke has a varied education history. John started with project training from 1988 to 2013, focusing on PDMS, Microstation, PDS, Drawing Manager, Smartplant, AutoCAD, and lighting calculations. In 2000 to 2001, they attended Barnfield Technology Centre and obtained a City & Guilds Autocad degree, specializing in Autocad 2D. From 1988 to 1992, they studied at Luton University, earning a City & Guilds 236-1/2/3 degree in Electrical Installations.
