Nicholas May

Nicholas May is an experienced security professional currently serving as the Chief Security Officer and Vice President of Security and Emergency Response at Aker Solutions since May 2021. With a focus on integrating physical, information, and personnel security risk management into a unified approach, Nicholas enhances coordination between traditional and cyber security disciplines. Prior roles include leading emergency response and security management at Norsk Hydro, managing Japanese government programs with Global Strategies Group, overseeing security projects in Iraq for Global Integrated Security, and directing operational strategies for Critical Logistic Support in NATO operations. Nicholas also has a military background as a Major in the British Army and holds advanced degrees, including a recent short course in Cyber Security from Harvard University and a Master's in Defence Technology from Cranfield University.
