Shawn Decker

Shawn Decker, P. Eng. has extensive experience in engineering and management within the oil and gas sector, currently serving as Technical Manager at Aker Solutions since September 2015, where responsibilities include managing pressure systems and structural integrity teams for upstream oil production facilities. Previous roles at Aker Solutions comprise Asset Integrity Lead and Maintenance Integrity Engineering Lead, focusing on asset integrity engineering and maintenance for fixed and rotating equipment. Prior to Aker Solutions, Shawn held multiple significant positions at North Atlantic Refining Limited, managing fixed equipment integrity and serving as a National Board accredited Owner-User Inspector. Additionally, Shawn's experience includes senior roles at Wood Group PSN, providing corrosion evaluations and welding engineering support, and project engineering at Cimco Refrigeration, specializing in industrial refrigeration systems design. Shawn holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical from Memorial University, Newfoundland and Labrador.
