Michael Bowen is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in tax law. Currently a Shareholder and Chair of the State and Local Tax Group at Akerman LLP since July 2008, Michael oversees the multistate tax controversy practice. Prior to this, Michael was a Shareholder at Williams Mullen, focusing on federal and state tax disputes, and served as an Associate at WilmerHale, where Michael handled federal and state tax consulting. Michael holds a JD from Boston University School of Law and a BA in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Rochester.
