Robert A. Smith

Robert A. Smith is a seasoned attorney and current Partner at Akerman LLP since February 2021, specializing in international franchise law and representing franchisors in over 80 countries. Prior experience includes serving as Corporate Counsel at Marriott International, Inc. from January 1984 to January 1987, as well as holding Partner positions at Quarles & Brady LLP and Wiley Rein LLP from February 2019 to February 2021 and August 1992 to January 2019 respectively, where leadership as Franchise Group Chair was exhibited. Robert A. Smith earned a J.D. from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, graduating first in class, and holds a B.A. in Politics from the same university.
