Matthew Johnson

Matthew Johnson, PhD, is the Vice President of Drug Substance at Akero Therapeutics, where they lead efforts in CMC development of biologics, vaccines, and advanced therapeutics. Previously, Matthew served in various leadership roles at Biogen, where they implemented innovative platforms for monoclonal antibody production and managed capital investment projects. They also held positions at Pfizer, contributing to the development and commercialization of vaccine technologies. Matthew's academic background includes a BS in Biological Engineering from Cornell University, an MBA in Business Management, and a PhD in Chemical Engineering, both from North Carolina State University.
