Akeyo is a Uganda-based agribusiness and rural development enterprise creating pathways for smallholder farmers to access finance, knowledge, markets, and opportunity.

We work primarily with women and youth farmers organized in community savings groups, helping them overcome barriers that limit productivity, income growth, and resilience. Through strategic partnerships, we connect farmers to agricultural financing, quality inputs, extension services, weather-index insurance, and structured market opportunities.

Our last-mile delivery model ensures that even farmers in underserved rural communities can access the products, services, and support they need to thrive. Through community agents, digital tools, and innovative partnerships, we help farmers increase productivity, strengthen climate resilience, and build sustainable livelihoods.

Akeyo is also expanding market access through technology-enabled solutions that connect farmers directly to institutional buyers, creating more reliable income opportunities and reducing dependence on informal markets.

Beyond agriculture, we invest in people. Through initiatives such as Mkyala Mentor, we equip women with leadership, business, and entrepreneurship skills while connecting them to mentorship and long-term support networks.

Our vision is an inclusive and climate-resilient agricultural ecosystem where women and youth can prosper as farmers, entrepreneurs, and community leaders.
