Nel Johnson

Nel Johnson is a seasoned design professional with over 25 years of experience in user experience design and digital strategy. Currently serving as the NZ Director of Experience Design at AKQA Group since September 2017, Nelson has a strong background that includes leadership roles at DT, where a user-centric approach was emphasized, and positions at companies such as Principals, Designworks, Dentsu Aegis Network, Amaze, Studio Skylab, and Metropolis Studios. Johnson has collaborated with high-profile clients including Fonterra, Contact Energy, and DB Breweries, showcasing a diverse range of skills in research, strategy, and design. Educational credentials include an HND in Graphic Design from The University of Bolton.
