Laura Morales

Laura Morales is a seasoned professional in environmental and permitting management with extensive experience in the renewable energy sector. Currently serving as Senior Technical Director for Permitting - Offshore Wind at AKRF since May 2022, Laura co-leads offshore wind and transmission permitting efforts across the United States, demonstrating a strong background in federal, state, and local permitting, as well as NEPA support. Previously, Laura held the position of ESIA Permitting Director at Equinor, where leadership was provided for environmental and social impact assessments for the Empire Wind Offshore Wind Project. Laura also managed onshore permitting initiatives and compliance tracking within the Empire Wind Lease Area. Prior roles include Environmental, Health & Safety Manager and Environmental Compliance Program Manager at PSEG, and Environmental Specialist at Arcadis, building a well-rounded expertise in environmental compliance and permitting. Laura Morales holds a Master of Arts in Environmental Management from Montclair State University and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the State University of New York at Oswego.
