Lesley Baggett, Ph.D., is a Senior Environmental Scientist and Benthic Ecologist at AKRF, focusing on the ecology and restoration of coastal marine habitats, including submerged aquatic vegetation and oyster reefs. They have authored critical sections for Environmental Impact Statements for offshore wind farms and contributed to various habitat assessments and mitigation plans. Previously, Lesley held post-doctoral positions at the University of South Florida and Dauphin Island Sea Lab, where they led a national guidance handbook on oyster restoration monitoring. Lesley has also taught Marine Biology and related subjects at multiple institutions, including the University of Mobile.
