Mike enjoys finding solutions to mitigating traffic impacts, site access, and interchange and roadway operating conditions using state-of-the-art software.

Mike directs the Traffic and Transportation Department and serves in leading roles for transportation-related technical work, including traffic data analysis, traffic signal timing and optimization, Complete Street designs, multimodal microsimulation, site access and circulation studies, evaluation of transportation improvement phasing, and the preparation of traffic and transit studies. He is highly skilled in the use of Highway Capacity Software, Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, and other traffic analysis software. In addition to his technical capabilities, Mike’s strengths include presenting highly technical material to a non-technical audience for municipalities and agencies or in support of public outreach efforts.
