Christopher Schelling

Christopher Schelling, CAIA, is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as Managing Director at Aksia since May 2025 and as an Investment Committee Member at 1200 VC since March 2023. In addition to these roles, Schelling contributes as a columnist for Institutional Investor and served on the Global Investor Advisory Board for AIMA until May 2025. Other notable positions include Investment Committee Member for the Diocese of Austin and Managing Director of Private Investments at Caprock. Previously, Schelling held roles such as Chief Investment Strategist and Director of Alternative Investments at Venturi Private Wealth, Managing Director at Windmuehle Companies, and Director of Private Equity at Texas Municipal Retirement. An academic background includes serving as an Adjunct Professor of Finance at the University of Kentucky. Schelling holds a Master’s degree in Financial Markets from the Illinois Institute of Technology, an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Illinois Chicago, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
