Lawrence Cinamon

Lawrence is a Senior Vice President on the Investment Research team and has over 15 years of experience in investment research. He is responsible for sourcing, conducting investment research, and evaluating managers, with a focus on discretionary global macro, systematic macro, multi-asset, and commodities strategies. He has developed deep industry knowledge, which provides him with perspective on upcoming fund and strategy launches and fee term negotiations.

Prior to joining Aksia in 2009, Lawrence worked as an analyst at Ivy Asset Management, focusing initially on their securitized products hedge fund, and then on a fund of funds investing in macro, CTAs, and commodities.

Lawrence graduated from McGill University with a BA in Economics and holds an MA in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University. He holds the CAIA designation.

In 2018, he was recognized as a Rising Star of Hedge Funds by Institutional Investor.
