John Valverde

John Valverde, CPP, has extensive experience in payroll management, currently serving as the Senior Manager of Payroll at Akumin® since May 1999. Notable achievements include transitioning 2000 employees from Paylocity to Workday, implementing Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking, and managing multi-state payroll for over 48 states and 200 localities. Responsibilities also encompass leading a team of seven, ensuring compliance with federal and state wage regulations, conducting reconciliations for payroll general ledger accounts, and overseeing annual worker compensation audits. Prior to Akumin®, John Valverde held the position of Payroll Supervisor at Bally Total Fitness from March 1995 to April 1999. John Valverde obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from California State University, Long Beach, between 1986 and 1991.
